This is almost exactly like the recipe my great-grandmother used to bake, with the differences being 4 eggs used instead of 8, and the frosting was made with shortening, cold coffee, white sugar, vanilla, salt, and a raw egg. I’ve been looking for a recipe for frosting without an egg, and I can’t wait to try your version 🙂
